Yahya Addison is a career educator and homeschooling father of four. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in History, Middle Eastern Studies, and Islamic Studies – being the first student at the university to receive Special Honors in the latter and the coveted Rappaport-King Scholarship in Islamic Studies. He holds an M.Sc. in Education Leadership from the University of Leicester, U.K. and is certified by the Texas State Board of Educator Certification in all subject areas from Early Childhood through Grade 6 and in English, History, and Biology from Grades 8 – 12. He is fluent in classical Arabic and maintains an working professional proficiency in Spanish.
Yahya was a high school graduate of both the Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs and has been subsequently trained in delivery of those programs as an educator. He has taught students and led educational organizations in 6 countries over 16 years in the field of education. Through his U.S. consultancy, The Learners Center, he also develops and manages homeschool curricula for numerous Muslim families in the United States.
Yahya has tutored students privately since 2002 and has worked extensively with students online since 2013, his pupils ranging from pre-schoolers to PhD’s and having secured interviews and admission to top universities the world over; including the University of Cambridge, King’s College, Northeastern University, and the University of Exeter. His online tutoring and university admissions counselling services are available to homeschooling families for very affordable rates, with most subjects starting at just $25 per hour.
